Balqees Welfare Foundation’s Sustainability Model

The Balqees Welfare Foundation has embarked on an innovative journey to ensure the sustainability of its various programs. This journey is rooted in the principles of social entrepreneurship and leverages the potential of real estate investment. The foundation’s model begins with the acquisition of land, which is then developed into multi-story commercial buildings, known as Trust 2 and Trust 3, located at a prime location in Diplomatic Enclave Islamabad. These properties are designed to house various businesses and services, creating a vibrant commercial hub. The buildings are then rented out to different tenants, generating a consistent source of income.

The unique aspect of this model is that the rent collected from these commercial buildings is not used for profit. Instead, it is channelled directly into funding the programs run by the Balqees Welfare Foundation. As of now, the foundation has invested a total of RS-35000000 in the construction of Trust 2 and Trust 3 buildings. These projects are currently under progress and once completed, they are expected to significantly boost the foundation’s funding capacity.

This model not only ensures financial stability for the foundation but also contributes to local economic development. By creating commercial spaces, the foundation supports local businesses, promotes job creation, and stimulates economic growth. Balqees Welfare Foundation’s sustainable model exemplifies a forward-thinking approach to non-profit management. By investing in real estate and using the proceeds to fund their programs, they ensure the longevity and impact of their work.

The ongoing construction of Trust 2 and Trust 3 buildings is a testament to the foundation’s commitment to this sustainable model. In conclusion, the Balqees Welfare Foundation’s innovative and sustainable approach to funding its programs through real estate investment is a commendable initiative that not only ensures the longevity of its work but also contributes to local economic development.
